Land of Plenty.

At the end of August, James and Jordan Parham flew from O'Hare to Newark to Nuuk, then on to Sisimiut, to hunt muskox and caribou with Worldwide Trophy Adventures. Bad wind had their plane circling for almost two hours before it could land.

From Sisimiut, a boat took them to the hunting area. They hunted from the boat in the fjords, glassing the slopes, then went ashore to stalk on foot. The country is wet, with temperatures from the low 30s to the low 50s.

James took his caribou on day one, after the guides sent him up the mountain to get within rifle range. His muskox came later in the trip, at under 100 yards, and it took a second shot. He carried a Gunwerks .450 Bushmaster he trained with all summer at Gunwerks Long Range University in Cody, Wyoming, where the film opens. Both tags filled.

On the last day at spike camp, a curious young bull hung around watching them for about ten minutes. James spent the week pulling muskox wool off the brush to bring home to his wife.
