Bear Run: Alaska.

In late August 2025, Joe Griffin and cameraman Jordan Parham flew into the Alaska Range to hunt grizzly and black bear with Worldwide Trophy Adventures. The hunt runs on a 160-square-mile private land concession, up the same creek Joe had hunted sheep on with WTA three years earlier.

On day one, Joe shot a black bear with his rifle and followed it into thick alders to finish it. On day two, he found the grizzly he had wanted since he was a kid and made a 422-yard shot up a steep slope. Both tags were filled in under 48 hours.

With time left, the crew bought Jordan a tag. On his birthday he took his first animal ever, an Alaska black bear, at 350 yards.

Joe spent the rest of the trip with a bow. On day ten he climbed a canyon after a big black bear feeding in the blueberries. Joe first drew at 22 yards, could not get a shot through the alders, and closed to nine yards before he shot. The trip ended with four bears.
